Stage 5 Landscaping Works
18/05/2021
The Stage 5 landscaping works are about to commence on the Linear Tree Reserve. The Linear Tree Reserve extends from Snead Boulevard to Cupit Street and has been created to protect the signature trees of the Canopy Community and create a space for residents to enjoy nestled between the Canopy trees. The retention of these picturesque reserves and large established trees has created unique and beautiful streetscapes for our Stage 5 residents and are a celebrated aspect of our community. The landscaping works will involve the construction of the shared bike and pedestrian paths to further connect your community to the wider network and local amenity. The shared paths throughout the community not only create an enviable sense of connectivity and community-belonging for the many families who call Canopy home, but also help to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for all residents. The reserve and garden beds will also be planted with native and weather tolerant plant species which will support the natural environment and reflect our commitment to environmental sustainability as an accredited Envirodevelopment community. Canopy at Amstel is committed to sustainability across six categories including ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community. Finally, the temporary fencing will be removed, and park seating and picnic tables will be installed so the community can begin to use this space as envisioned. Canopy’s extensive open space exceeds the standard provision required for residential communities. Designed to encourage physical activity and provide easy access to plentiful green space encouraging a healthier and happier lifestyle for our residents. Connecting with nature and a fulfilling lifestyle centred on wellness is a part of every day.
