CANOPY TAKES A GIANT STEP FORWARD OVER SUMMER Summer has seen a flurry of activity at Canopy with our construction team bringing the Canopy Community to life. Streets have emerged within the first stages as the new entrance and wetlands begin to take shape. STAGE 1 Our construction team has made substantial progress within Stage 1, completing both the sewers and the stormwater drainage network. The roads have now been shaped within the stage and the road bases finished. Over the next month the construction team will commence installing the watermains, kerbs and stone retaining walls. Construction on the Cranbourne-Frankston Road intersection, which will provide access to our new community has commenced. This entrance will provide access to the community and will include an architecturally designed entry feature. STAGE 2 The sewers within Stage 2 have been installed and our crews have commenced installing the stormwater drains. The construction team has also shaped the roads and has commenced installing the road bases. The streets are now clearly visible, with future roads winding around the large canopy trees which will be retained within the streetscape. The team will complete the stormwater drainage and the road bases over the next month in preparation to commence installing watermains in April. STAGE 3 Earthworks are now complete within Stage 3, and our construction team has commenced installing the sewers. Stage 3 includes the Canopy Grove Tree Reserve, which will be a 3, 300m2 reserve dedicated to showcasing several of the projects iconic canopy trees and providing a quite space for residents to enjoy the natural beauty of the Canopy Community. STAGE 5 Preliminary construction works have commenced within Stage 5 while our engineering team completes the detailed design in preparation for the commencement of construction. CANOPY ENTRY WETLANDS BPG Civil is completing the bulk earthworks for the entry wetlands which is now visible from Cranbourne Frankston Road. The team is installing the stormwater drainage to the wetlands and constructing large culverts which will connect the wetlands to the upstream waterway. The finished wetlands will be linked to the wider waterway system providing valuable habitat and connecting residents to the wider community. Click here for Title forecast and full update.
